Statistics

We have been investigating things about the people in our classroom. We were looking at our book bags and decided to see which colour we had the most of. To do this we created a bar graph. We had to make sure all of our book bags started in the same place on the x axis and that they were lined up nice and straight.

Before we started we guessed what colour would have the most. Some people guessed pink, some guessed green and others guessed blue...it turns out everyone was right!

We had done the graph with all of the book bags including some of the children who weren't at school so we decided to take theirs out and see if it made a difference. It did!

  1. Hi room 11
I love the graph you made using your book bags! I can see that you had 3 people away that day from your second photo! Would your graph look the same for favourite colours?

    1. Hi Mrs Paton,

We have made a graph for our favourite colours. It looked very different because there were more colours. Green was the most popular favourite colour followed closely by pink.

  2. Hi Room 11
I can see you have been doing statistics with your book bags and making graphs out of them. What graph did you make with them?

    1. Hi Cloe,

We made a bar graph with our book bags to see which one was the longest. Thank you for commenting on our blog.
